WESCO International Inc. (NYSE: WCC), Pittsburgh, PA, reported sales for 2015 of $7.5 billion, down 4.7 percent from 2014. Organic sales declined 3.3 percent. Profit fell 23.6 percent to $210.7 million.
"On a full year basis, our results reflect the challenging economic and end-market environment," CEP John Engel said.
For the fourth quarter, sales were $1.9 billion, a year-over-year decline of 6.7 percent. Organic sales decreased 7.6 percent. Profit of $48.4 million for the current quarter was down 35 percent from a year ago.
Fourth quarter declines reflect "weakness in commodity-driven end markets and continued foreign exchange headwinds," Engel said. "… Although overall sales were down, our data communications and utility sales grew again in the quarter."
