Fortive Corp. (NYSE: FTV), Everett, WA, reported sales for the third quarter of $1.7 billion, a 7.5 percent increase over the same period a year ago. Profit increased 18 percent to $267.8 million.
For the first nine months, sales were $4.8 billion, up 5.5 percent year-over-year. Profit increased 9.2 percent to $707.6 million.
