Pentair plc (NYSE: PNR), London, UK, reported first-quarter sales of $1.3 billion, a 7 percent increase compared to the year-ago period. First-quarter profit was $103 million.
The company reported strong growth in both its Water and Electrical segments.
Pentair announced earlier this month the spin-off of its electrical business, creating nVent Electric, a separate, publicly traded entity. The change is expected to be complete by April 30.
