Snap-on Inc. (NYSE: SNA), Kenosha, WI, reported sales for 2017 of $3.7 billion, a 7.5 percent increase from the previous year. Profit increased 2.1 percent to $557.7 million.
Sales for the fourth quarter were $974.6 million, a 9.5 percent increase year-over-year. Profit decreased 11.5 percent to $129.5 million.
Commercial and industrial segment sales for the quarter increased 19.4 percent year-over-year to $341.7 million, while Snap-on tools sales were down 2 percent to $409.2 million. Repair systems and information sales increased 11.6 percent in the quarter to $356.8 million.
