HVAC distributor Watsco Inc. (NYSE: WSO), Miami, FL, reported sales for 2017 of $4.3 billion, an increase of 2.9 percent from the previous year. Profit increased 13.9 percent to $208.2 million.

2017 sales for HVAC equipment were up 4 percent year-over-year. Other HVAC products sales increased 1 percent and commercial refrigeration products sales were flat.

Sales for the fourth quarter were $964.3 million, a 5.6 percent increase over the same period a year ago. Profit increased 46.4 percent to $43.3 million.

Fourth-quarter sales for HVAC equipment increased 7 percent. Other HVAC products sales increased 4 percent, and commercial refrigeration products decreased 4 percent.
