Rexnord Corp. (NYSE: RXN), Milwaukee, WI, reported sales for the third quarter ended Dec. 31, of $492.3 million, an increase of 9.5 percent year-over-year. Core sales increased 6 percent from the previous year. Profit for the quarter was $75.8 million compared to $1.7 million the previous year's quarter.
For the first nine months of the fiscal year, sales were $1.5 billion, a 5.4 percent increase from the previous year. Profit for the quarter increased 166.6 percent to $120.5 million.
