Curtiss-Wright Corp., Davidson, NC, reported fourth-quarter sales of $649 million, up 6 percent compared to the fourth quarter of 2017. Net earnings for the quarter were $83 million, up 22 percent compared to the year-ago period.
The manufacturer reported full-year sales of $2.4 billion, up 6 percent compared to 2017. Net earnings for 2018 were $275.7 million, up 28 percent compared to 2017.
The company’s power sector helped drive growth in the fourth quarter, and company leaders reported strong organic growth across all of Curtiss-Wright’s commercial markets. Looking ahead to 2019, the company said it expects higher sales in all end markets and overall improved operating profitability.
Curtiss-Wright provides actuators, aircraft controls, valves and surface treatments to a range of industries.
