The Home Depot (NYSE: HD), Atlanta, GA, reported fiscal fourth-quarter sales of $26.5 billion, up 11 percent compared to the year-ago period. Net earnings were $2.3 billion compared with $1.8 billion a year ago, the company reported.
For its full fiscal year 2018, The Home Depot said sales rose 7.2 percent to $108.2 billion. Company leaders said they maintain a positive outlook on fiscal 2019.
“Our view on the health of the economy and the consumer, as well as the momentum of our strategic investments, supports our belief that we can deliver comparable sales growth of 5.0 percent in fiscal 2019,” Craig Menear, chairman, CEO and president of The Home Depot, said in a statement announcing the results.
