Matheson Tri-Gas, Inc., Parsippany, NJ, has agreed to purchase Linweld, Inc. of Lincoln, NE. The transaction involves all of Linweld’s assets and employees.
The acquisition is consistent with Matheson parent company Taiyo Nippo Sanso’s strategy to expand in the U.S. The purchase enhances the company’s presence in the Midwest, furthering the goal of becoming a national supplier.
The transaction also significantly broadens Linweld’s product line. Matheson Tri-Gas, Inc., is a provider of industrial and specialty gases, including bulk and cylinder gases, gas handling equipment, high performance purification systems, and related hardgoods. The company also provides support services, engineering services, and systems management services to analytical laboratories and semiconductor manufacturers worldwide. As a member of the Taiyo Nippon Sanso Corporation group, Matheson Tri-Gas, Inc., is part of a worldwide industrial gas organization.
