White Cap Construction Supply, a business of Home Depot Supply, has agreed to acquire Western Fasteners, Denver, CO, a distributor of construction fasteners, power tools and accessories to the growing markets of the Western and Southwestern United States. It operates eight branches located in Colorado, Texas, New Mexico and Arizona.
Western Fasteners has a 39-year history of serving professional customers. The acquisition will strengthen White Cap’s ability to serve professional customers in Texas, the Rocky Mountain region, Arizona and New Mexico.
Western Fasteners operates 10 distribution centers in the major cities of Colorado, Texas, New Mexico and Arizona. Its target markets are general contractors, sub-contractors, building maintenance departments and manufacturers. According to its Web site, Western Fasteners is a multi-million dollar company.
In other Home Depot acquisition news, Creative Touch Interiors, a business of HD Supply, acquired Rice Planter Carpets on May 31, 2006. Rice Planter Carpets is a partner to home builders, providing flooring design, sales and installation services, and has a 26-year history of serving professional customers. The acquisition will allow Creative Touch Interiors to establish a presence in South Carolina and establish a platform in the region for future growth.
