Lawson Products Inc., Des Plaines, IL, an international distributor of products, services and systems to the MRO and OEM marketplaces, had a 10% increase in sales to $450 million in 2005, up from $410 million in 2004. Profit was up slightly to $21.5 million from $21.4 million in 2004.
Fourth quarter 2005 sales jumped 10% to $116 million, compared with $105 million the year before. Fourth quarter results include the operations of Rutland Tool & Supply Co., acquired Dec. 1. Rutland accounted for $4 million of sales in the fourth quarter results.
Lawson Products serves the industrial, commercial and institutional maintenance, repair and replacement (MRO) markets. The company also manufacturers, sells and distributes production and specialized component parts to the original equipment marketplace (OEM) including the automotive, appliance, aerospace, construction and transportation industries.
