West Chester, OH-based tooling, fasteners and industrial supplies distributor AFC Industries acquired Irwin Industrial.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Established in 1970 and based in Aurora, Ontario, Irwin is a distributor of electronic components, hardware and fasteners to a wide variety of industries across Canada, along with vendor-managed inventory programs and customized solutions.

“Canada is an important market for us and we recognized we would need additional resources and infrastructure in Canada for it to reach its full potential,” AFC CEO Kevin Godin said in a Jan. 9 news release. “We were looking for a Canadian partner whose culture and approach to the business would fit well with ours. Irwin quickly rose to the top of the list, and we are thankful to be able to add them to the AFC family.”
AFC made six acquisitions during 2024, its most recent one was of Racine, WI-based CH Peters, completed on Nov. 18.
The company was No. 35 on MDM’s Top Distributors List for Industrial Supplies and No 8. For Fasteners.
