Compressed gases, dry ice and welding equipment distributor CK Supply Inc. announced an investment of over $10 million to expand its Riverside, MO facility.
Once complete, the project is poised to serve as a hub for the Kansas City area.
The St. Louis-based company said the new facility — intended to serve a 200-mile radius — will meet rising demand and ensure “local economic growth.” CK Supply added that the expansion is partly driven by two recent milestones: Its 2023 acquisition of Welds Supply Inc. and its 2021 transition to an employee stock ownership plan.
“This strategic move aligns with our mission to better serve our community, customers and employee-owners by enhancing our operational capacity and creating new jobs,” CK Supply Executive VP Brad Dunn said in a Nov. 14 news release.
CK Supply will continue operating from its current Riverside facility during construction.
