Plumbing, HVAC, electrical, fasteners and hardware distributor VP Supply acquired Exterior Wholesale Supply (EWS).
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Madison Street Capital (MSC) — a global investment banking firm — served as the exclusive advisor in the deal.
Smyrna, TN-based EWS is a distributor of building products and installation services to the construction and remodeling industries. The company operates nine showrooms and 17 warehouse locations across upstate New York and Eerie, PA with over 300 employees.
“The EWS leadership team has built a company with a reputation for premium quality products and services and cultivated a highly productive and skilled management team,” MSC Senior Managing Director Katrin Owen said in a Sept. 17 news release. “VP Supply’s complementary service and product offerings and market focus will position EWS to further gain market share and strengthen its position in the construction and remodeling sector well beyond Tennessee.”
Rochester, NY-based VP Supply was founded by Rick Heagarty and Jay Barbera in 2011. The company offers essential products, logistical support and project management services that help its customers complete construction projects.
