Disconnect switchgear, porcelain, glass insulators and instrument transformers distributor Power Grid Components (PGC) acquired Allied Bolt, Inc.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Port Chester, NY-based Allied Bolt is a distributor of plant hardware for electrical utility and telecommunications industries. The company was previously owned by current president Glen Malin. Malin will resume his position as president on a “go-forward basis.” Since its founding in 1995, Allied Bolt has been managed by the Malin family.
“Glen Malin and his team have built a trusted brand over several decades, developing a well-earned reputation for product quality, reliability and customer service,” PGC CEO and Founder Rick McClure said in an Aug. 1 news release. “With our significant experience in various segments of the value chains relevant to Allied Bolt, we are excited to help Allied Bolt take the next step in their growth journey and continue to deliver high-quality products that bring high speed data, digital services and electrical power to customers across the U.S.”
Founded in 2017, PGC — a Blackstone portfolio company — was established to acquire and expand companies that provide products for the North American electrical power grid and related industries. Since its inception, the company has acquired five businesses.
