Fasteners distributor Endries International, Inc. opened a new distribution center in Algonquin, IL.
Endries hosted a grand opening of the 130,000-square-foot facility at the beginning of August featuring local officials, company executives and community leaders.
“With this move, we have proactively increased our operations footprint in Illinois by 50%, reflecting our confidence in the future of OEM manufacturing in the U.S.,” Endries President and CEO Michael Knight said in a Sept. 10 news release. “This, too, is our first implementation of a new, high capacity, high throughput distribution system that we will standardize on for similar planned operations expansion in other regions of the country.
Endries noted that the new facility enhances service efficiency, broadens operational capabilities and meets the increasing demands of customers.
The company installed LED lights throughout the location, featuring motion sensors and automatic shutoff to cut down on energy usage.
The news comes less than a week after Endries announced the acquisition of Florida-based ServTronics.
Endries is No. 9 on MDM’s List of Top Distributor’s for Fasteners and No. 40 for Industrial Supplies.
