Grainger released its 2024 Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Report entitled, “Focusing on What Matters – We Keep The World Working.”
Key among the report’s highlights is Grainger’s reduction of global absolute Scope 1 & Scope 2 emissions by 31% since 2018, surpassing its 2030 target seven years early. The company has now set a new goal to achieve a 50% reduction by 2030, leveraging investments in solar energy, hydrogen, fuel cells and sustainable building materials.
“At Grainger, doing the right thing is critical to our ability to be good stewards for our people, our customers, our shareholders and the environment,” company Chairman and CEO D.G. Mapherson said in a July 11 news release. “Whether supporting fulfilling careers and strengthening our inclusive culture for our team members, helping our customers achieve their sustainability goals or partnering in our communities to build a better future, we take our responsibility to make the things that matter better.”
Grainger is No. 1 on MDM’s Industrial Supplies list and No. 1 for MRO. See the company’s news release for more details on its ESG progress and its full report.
