Major JanSan products, foodservice disposables and packaging supplies distributors BradyIFS and Envoy Solutions announced Oct. 31 that they have completed the landmark merger that they originally announced on Aug. 30

The finalization announcement follows the clearing of regulatory approval and customary closing conditions.

The deal — for which terms were not disclosed — creates a new company with nearly $5 billion in annual revenue, according to both firms. It now has nearly 6,000 employees across 180 locations, and more than 100,000 branded and exclusive brand products.

The two distributors are now operating as a single organization as of Nov. 1, though a news release did not indicate if one will take the other’s name, or if both will maintain their brand identities.

Kenneth Sweder, previously BradyIFS’ Chairman and CEO, now serves as the Chairman and CEO of the combined company.

“It’s an exciting day for our companies and teams,” Sweder said in the release. “We will ‘Win as One’ by bringing our companies together to deliver the best value for our customers, suppliers, and associates.”

Both companies have been regulars on MDM’s annual Top Distributors Lists. Both appeared on the unranked 2023 list for Top JanSan Distributors, and the two companies also have grown in recent years via acquisitions.

M&A activity in the past few years has helped both distributors grow. The merger with Envoy Solutions marks BradyIFS’ sixth deal in 2023, after also reaching six deals in 2022. Envoy Solutions also has made six acquisitions in 2023, after making 16 deals last year.

BradyIFS noted in July 2022 that it had surpassed $1.3 billion in annual revenue, but hasn’t publicly mentioned a financial update since.
