On June 19, home improvement retailer Lowe’s Companies announced the appointment of Quonta (Que) Vance as Executive Vice President of two of the company’s key growth areas: Pro and Home Services.
Pro sales have outperformed expectations for Lowe’s, and the company expects the segment to outpace Do-It-Yourself customers for the remainder of the year, according to the company’s first quarter earnings call. The company credited the performance to its Pro rewards programs, customer relationship management tool, improved Pro assortment, inventory depth and omnichannel capabilities.
Vance most recently served as Lowe’s Senior Vice President of Transportation and Final Mile where he had responsibility for the overall vision and strategy for Pro fulfillment, domestic and international transportation, parcel shipping, command center operations and final-mile delivery.
He has more than 25 years of retail experience and leadership roles with store operations, merchandising and supply chain across Lowe’s, Home Depot and Target. He joined Lowe’s in 2019 as North Division President before moving to merchandising as Senior Vice President of General Merchandising Manager and Building Products.
“I’m honored to lead this new team and build a plan for the future that will continue to allow us to grow market share through our Total Home strategy and provide exceptional service for our customers,” Vance said in a news release.
