Expansion continues at Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, as the distributor announced its fourth acquisition of the year on June 14.
Atlanta-based Pye-Barker, which provides fire protection, life safety and security products and services, said it has acquired Bamford, Inc. — a full-service fire sprinkler company based in Kearney, Nebraska.
Founded in 1958, Bamford’s team inspects, tests, maintains, installs and fabricates fire sprinkler systems and provides backflow testing, serving western and central Nebraska.
“I wish Pye-Barker the best and trust them to continue the relationships – both internal and external – that we have built over many years,” said Donna Bamford, Co-Founder and Owner at Bamford, in a Pye-Barker news release.
The deal marks Pye-Barker’s fourth acquisition so far in 2023 and the entry into its 36th U.S. state. The company said the expansion continues its mission to become the largest single-source fire protection, life safety and security provider in the U.S.
Pye-Barker’s previously most recent acquisition was announced on May 3 in the form of Grand Rapids, Michigan-based Vanguard Fire & Security Systems.
“We couldn’t be more grateful to the Bamford family for putting their trust in us to carry on their legacy and the business they’ve built,” Pye-Barker CEO Bart Proctor said. “As we move into our 36th state, our success has come from uniting like-minded business owners like the Bamford family who share our values and commitment to customer care.”
Founded in 1946, Pye-Barker now operates over 160 locations, backed by approximately 5,000 team members.
