Jacksonville, Florida-based Sonepar subsidiary World Electric Supply has made leadership changes across finance, supply chain and marketing, the company announced May 9.
Bill Turner has been promoted to Vice President of Finance, according to a news release. Turner has served in several finance roles with Sonepar USA and was most recently Finance Manager for World Electric. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from LaSalle University.
World Electric recently named Ben Austin as Director of Supply Chain. With over 25 years of experience in the electrical industry, Austin previously served as Director of Project Implementation and Automation with Sonepar USA’s supply chain group. Austin holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Southern Ohio College and a master’s certificate in supply chain management and operations from Michigan State University.
Nash Welsh has been promoted to Strategic Marketing Manager, according to the release. Prior to joining World Electric as Digital Marketing Manager, she was Southeast Territory Manager with Eaton. Welsh holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Central Florida.
“In 2022 we opened a new branch in Seminole to better service the booming St. Petersburg construction market, acquired Advance Electric to expand our operations in Atlanta, and broke ground for a new regional distribution center in Miami, Florida,” World Electric President Tammy Livers said in the release. “We also opened another branch in Winter Haven just last week. To manage our growth opportunities, it was imperative we optimize staffing.”
