GAP, a distributor of abrasive products, formed in 2004 following the merger of three companies: Future Abrasives, Duraline Abrasives and Pres-On Abrasives. With locations in Lockport, New York, and Alpharetta, Georgia, GAP is one of Dynabrade’s strategic suppliers. The acquisition of GAP expands the scope of Dynabrade’s vertical integration, Dynabrade president Michael Buffamonti said in a news release.
“This further elevates our value proposition of becoming the leader in surface solutions and innovative process improvements for industries around the world,” Buffamonti said. “With over 1,000 abrasive power tool configurations, and now an abrasive offering for most any application, Dynabrade is in the unique position to provide greater value to our manufacturing processes and to continue delivering unprecedented cost savings. Customers of both companies will benefit from the combined industrial tool and abrasive product lines.”
GAP is Dynabrade’s first acquisition since 2021, when it acquired high-tech production machine shop Manth Manufacturing.
