Omni Cable, LLC (OmniCable) announced Sept. 2 its acquisition of Bay Wire, a California-based distributor of copper building wire and other wire and cable products. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
“In line with OmniCable’s model, Bay Wire sells exclusively through electrical distributors and supports distributors with fast deliveries, broad range of services, technical expertise, and ease of doing business,” OmniCable president and CEO Greg Lampert said.
Headquartered in Hayward, California, Bay Wire has served the electrical distribution industry since 1997. Bay Wire’s suppliers and customers will see no change in how they currently do business despite the acquisition, according to a news release. Bay Wire will continue to operate independently with OmniCable supporting the business as needed.
Founded in 1977, OmniCable is a distributor of wire, cable and electrical products. OmniCable is headquartered in West Chester, Pennsylvania, and has 14 regional distribution centers across the U.S.
