Dallas-based Building Controls & Solutions last month acquired Activelogix LLC, a provider of IoT and enterprise automation solutions for building intelligence based in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Activelogix has extensive experience in the design and support of Niagara and Eclypse based systems and is a certified Niagara Developer and Distributor for Vykon, Honeywell, SkyFoundry, Distech Controls and others. Their products and services allow BCS to “enhance, extend, and expand its smart-building product and service offering in the Southeastern U.S.,” the company said.
“We are excited to bring together two strong Building Automation and Controls teams and partner with Activelogix,” said BCS CEO Eric Chernik. “In addition to the foundation they have built around the Niagara framework, Activelogix also enhances our Building Analytics offering to assist Commercial buildings with saving energy, reducing waste and creating efficiencies.”
Earlier in March, BCS was recognized as the 2021 Honeywell Building Management Systems Distributor of the Year. The annual award recognizes the top-performing company in Honeywell’s Authorized System Distributor (ASD) Program.
In February, BCS acquired Rawson/ICD’s commercial building automation team as part of a deal that sold Rawson/ICS to Relevant Industrial. In December of last year, BCS acquired Boston-based Interstate HVAC Controls.
