Raleigh, North Carolina-based supply chain consulting and services firm Tompkins Solutions has named David Latona as its new president and CEO.
Latona is expected to begin his new role Monday. He is succeeding Denny McKnight, who is retiring after more than 30 years with Tompkins, the company said.
“Denny was the person who brought me to Tompkins, so it’s hard to see him leave and I will definitely have big shoes to fill,” said Latona. “I wish him every success in this next stage of his life, and I look forward to continue building on the solid growth we have achieved for the company in recent years.”
Latona, a supply chain veteran with 35 years of experience, specializes in distribution center design and optimization, Tompkins said.
Since joining the company six years ago, Latona has demonstrated “superb leadership skills in account development and management,” the company said.
