For the second time, Building materials distributor 84 Lumber has earned a spot on the 2021 Inc. 5000 list, which ranks the nation’s fastest-growing private companies.
Based in Eighty Four, Pa., 84 Lumber was ranked 4,917 on the magazine’s annual list. The company was first named to the list in 2019.
“Being named to the Inc. 5000 list is an incredible honor,” said 84 Lumber President Maggie Hardy. “To be included in this distinguished ranking is a testament to our incredibly hard-working and talented team of associates that continue to provide our customers around the country with the best service.”
The company said being named to the list reflected its 42% growth over the last three years, which was helped this year by robust demand in the residential construction sector. Additionally, 84 Lumber is also experiencing a record sales year and is on track to end 2021 with a 40% year-over-year sales increase, according to its press release.
In July, 84 Lumber announced that its newest dedicated truss plant had opened in Statesville, North Carolina. The company said the new truss plant was part of its ongoing 2021 expansion plans that were designed to help fill the increasing demand for engineered and manufactured wood products around the country.
The distributor also plans to open new stores in Detroit, Stockton, Calif. and Boise, Idaho by the end of the year.
