Norbord (TSX: NBD), Toronto, Ontario, and Ainsworth Lumber Co. Ltd. (TSX: ANS), Vancouver, British Columbia, have announced they will merge. The newly formed wood products company will focus on oriented strand board in North America, Europe and Asia.
“This transaction unites two complementary businesses behind a common vision of enhanced service to our customers and growth in North America, Europe and Asia,” said Peter Wijnbergen, Norbord’s president and CEO.
