Unified Grocers, Los Angeles, CA, reported sales for the second quarter of $951.3 million, 2.3 percent increase over the same period a year ago. The distributor reported a loss of $3.8 million, compared to year-ago loss of $11.3 million.
For the first six months, sales were $2.8 billion, up 1.7 percent over the same period one year prior. The distributor reported a loss of $2.8 million, compared to year-ago loss of $15.9 million.
