Naperville, Illinois-based hand tool manufacturer C.H. Hanson has acquired Cleveland, Ohio-based Superior Tool, a manufacturer of plumbing tools founded in the 1940s. Financial terms of the deal weren’t disclosed.
“Right now, our world is experiencing a lot of uncertainty; people aren’t sure where they can turn to find brands they can trust,” said Phil Hanson, C.H. Hanson president. “Through this acquisition we have the opportunity to earn that trust with a new industry segment and to demonstrate our core values through our actions. In this time of so many uncertainties, we want to prove that we can be a certainty.”
This will be the fourth major brand acquisition by C.H. Hanson, including the 2018 acquisition of Pearson Industries, and the 2013 acquisition of Palmgren Steel Products.
