Industrial and specialty gases distributor Airgas Inc. (NYSE: ARG), Radnor, PA, has acquired Team Welding, Ltd., Houston, TX, which does business as Technical Alloy & Industrial Gas. Technical Alloy generated $20 million in sales in 2013.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
"The addition of Technical Alloy and its 38 associates to our Gulf Coast region will help to further increase our density and strengthen our competitive position in the greater Houston area," said Les Graff, Airgas senior vice president – corporate development.
"Growth through acquisition remains an important complement to our organic growth story, and we look forward to continuing to enhance our integrated product and service offering to customers through the acquisition of both core and adjacent product and service businesses in the future," he said.
