Wausau Paper (NYSE: WPP), Mosinee, WI, reported sales for the third quarter of $95.4 million, a slight increase compared to the same period a year ago. Profit was $1.6 million, compared to a year-ago loss of $9.5 million.
For the first nine months, sales were $270.5 million, up 3.2 percent compared to the same period a year ago. Profit was $4.1 million, compared to a year-ago loss of $18.2 million.
In October, the company announced it would be acquired by SCA Americas Inc.
