Chemical distributor Univar Inc. (NYSE: UNVR), Downers Grove, IL, reported sales for the third quarter of $2.2 billion, down 15.4 percent compared to the same quarter a year ago. The company reported a profit of $12.1 million, down 73.6 percent compared to third quarter 2014.
For the first nine months, sales were down 12.2 percent year-over-year to $7 billion. Profit decreased 69 percent to $19.4 million.
