Airgas Inc. (NYSE: ARG), Radnor, PA, a supplier of industrial, medical and specialty gases, has acquired Weldinghouse Inc., Corpus Christi, TX, and Priority Energy Services LLC, Covington, LA. Terms were not disclosed.
Weldinghouse, an industrial gas and welding supply distributor with 2014 sales of $19 million, has four locations throughout southern Texas and nearly 40 associates.
The acquisition of Weldinghouse will enhance and strengthen Airgas' position in the Gulf Coast region and strengthen the South Texas welding industry.
Priority Energy Services, a nitrogen services company with 2014 sale of $21 million, has 75 employees operating out of seven locations in Louisiana, Texas and West Virginia. The business will be integrated into Airgas as a newly formed business unit named Airgas Priority Nitrogen LLC.
The acquisition of Priority Energy Services will enable Airgas to offer nitrogen services and solutions to process industries for purging and pipeline applications.
Airgas has now completed nine acquisitions since the beginning of its 2016 fiscal year, totaling $74 million in aggregate acquired revenue.
