WESCO International Inc. (NYSE: WCC), Pittsburgh, PA, reported full-year sales for 2014 of $7.8 billion, a 5 percent increase from 2013. Organic sales increased 5.6 percent, with acquisitions having a positive impact. Profit increased 4.2 percent to $1.6 billion.
Sales for the fourth quarter were $1.9 billion, a 6.1 percent increase from the same period a year ago, with organic sales growth of 8.1 percent. Profit for the quarter increased 6.9 percent to $402.2 million.
"Our acquisition pipeline remains robust, and we see excellent opportunities to strengthen our electrical core and further expand our portfolio of products and services this year," said John J. Engel, chairman and CEO.
