Myers Industries Inc. (NYSE: MYE), Akron, OH, will sell its lawn and garden business for $115 million to an entity controlled by Wingate Partners V LP, a Dallas, TX-based private equity firm.
The transaction is expected to close in early 2015. Myers Industries announced in June 2014 its plan to sell the division to streamline its business portfolio into material handling and distribution, and increase its focus on its core growth platforms.
