Sonoco ThermoSafe, Arlington Heights, IL, a unit of Sonoco (NYSE:SON), has acquired Laminar Medica in the United Kingdom and Czech Republic, from Clinimed (Holdings) Ltd, a UK-based privately held specialty medical products company. Terms were not disclosed.
Laminar Medica specializes in the design, test, manufacture and qualification of temperature-controlled packaging solutions, used by the pharmaceutical and biotech industries globally.
“By adding Laminar Medica, we are significantly expanding Sonoco ThermoSafe’s global presence and providing our customers local access to the widest range of insulated parcel and pallet solutions,” said Russell Grissett, general manager of Sonoco Thermosafe.
