Kaman Corp. (NYSE: KAMN), Bloomfield, CT, announced that its distribution segment has agreed to acquire Northwest Hose & Fittings Inc. based in Spokane, WA. Terms were not disclosed.

Northwest Hose & Fittings, with 2013 sales of $8 million, is an authorized Parker distributor of hydraulic hose, fittings, adapters as well as couplers and industrial hose to a diverse group of industries such as the metals, agricultural, industrial machinery and equipment industries. The company also has locations in Yakima and Moses Lake, WA, and Coeur d’Alene, ID, and operates Parker Stores at all of its locations.

Steve Smidler, president of Kaman, said the company has a strong presence in several key markets that Kaman did not previously serve. The company expects product line and customer base synergies from the acquisition, he said.
