Bedford, Massachusetts-based plumbing, HVAC and PVF products distributor F.W. Webb Company has been named one of “America’s Greatest Workplaces for Women 2023” by Newsweek, the company announced June 1.
Newsweek surveyed over 37,000 female employees to create a list of 600 large American companies that ranked highest in categories including “compensation and benefits,” “work-life balance” and “proactive management of a diverse workforce,” according to a news release.
With over 3,200 personnel across nine states, F.W. Webb employs a diverse workforce, including women in the highest executive and director-level positions, the company said.
“Women play a crucial role in all facets of our company,” F.W. Webb Chief Operating Officer Bob Mucciarone said in the release. “Many of the industries we serve are male-dominated, but that hasn’t stopped our female employees from thriving in their roles.”
“Women at F.W. Webb make great contributions to our company,” F.W. Webb SVP of Human Resources Ruth Martin said in the release. “We are proud of this recognition from Newsweek and remain committed to enriching our workforce with programs and hiring practices that support diverse perspectives and experiences.”
F.W. Webb Appoints 2 Executives
The distributor announced May 30 it has named Marcie Lascher as Vice President of Marketing and Mary Kate Lucas as Director of Showroom Sales.
Lascher will oversee all aspects of brand, marketing and communications for the company’s wholesale distribution business, according to a news release. She has over 25 years of experience in marketing, including over a decade in marketing director positions with Nuance Communications.
“Marcie is a highly collaborative marketing and business leader with a proven track record of building, leading and inspiring high-performing teams,” Muccarione said in the release. “She is a significant hire for the company and her focus, passion and creativity will be instrumental in keeping F.W. Webb at the forefront of our industry.”
“F.W. Webb’s reputation for providing the best products in the industry and personalized service to each and every customer in the Northeast speaks for itself,” Lascher said in the release. “I look forward to working with the team to implement customer-focused marketing initiatives and growth strategies to support the company’s ongoing expansion into new markets and territories.”
Lucas will implement the brand strategy and direction of F.W. Webb’s Frank Webb Home showrooms, according to the release. She has experience in a variety of fields including the luxury plumbing industry, architectural consulting and industrial design.
“Mary Kate brings a unique mix of showroom, design, product and process knowledge to this role,” Muccarione said in the release. “Her experience and understanding, combined with her passion for showrooms, make her ideally suited to bring the Frank Webb Home showrooms to the next level.”
“Frank Webb Home is at the forefront of the bath, kitchen and lighting industry across the Northeast,” Lucas said in the release. “I’m excited to start enhancing our showrooms with the latest products while maintaining the exceptional service our associates provide to customers.”
