Thompson Pump has expanded its distribution network in the central U.S. with a new partnership.
The Port Orange, Florida-based pump manufacturer announced Jan. 11 a distributor’s agreement with Oklahoma City-based Kirby-Smith Machinery Inc. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Founded in 1983, Kirby-Smith is a distributor of heavy construction equipment with locations throughout Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas. Under the new partnership, Kirby-Smith will sell, service and rent Thompson Pump’s products throughout Oklahoma and Texas, according to a news release. The partnership will serve markets such as government sales, oil and gas, construction, mining and industrial.
“We are very excited about this partnership as it brings Thompson Pump’s products and name recognition to a region with plenty of competitors,” Thompson Pump National Sales Manager Pat Broderick said. “Kirby-Smith is one of the premier equipment dealers in the central U.S. and the continuity of products and services it provides to this market is key to our growth in the area.”
