Power Transmission/Motion Control Industry Sales Up in 2Q

Distributor sales increased 11.7 percent, according to a PTDA report.

Power transmission/motion control distributor sales were up 11.7 percent in the second quarter of 2015 compared to the same period in 2014, while manufacturer sales decreased 10.6 percent, according to the quarterly Sales History & Outlook Report from the Power Transmission Distributors Association.

Distributor sales are forecasted to slow in the near term, according to the report.

This new quarterly report from PTDA collects two years of company sales data each quarter from power transmission/motion control distributors and manufacturers and presents the aggregate results in customized reports.
