On Aug. 11, Rexel Group subsidiary Rexel USA announced the promotions of two company executives.
The electrical distributor announced that Michael Hanna, Senior Vice President of Rexel USA, has been promoted to the newly created position of Western Division President. Also, Eric Packer has assumed the newly created position of Senior Vice President of Strategic Growth Initiatives, the company said.
Hanna will be responsible for Rexel USA’s Northwest, California, Mountain Plains and Midwest Regions. He also is expected to focus on the continued execution of Rexel’s Power Up 2025 strategic priorities and “accelerating efforts to evolve and improve our customer experience and operational practices,” the company said.

Hanna has been with Rexel USA for the 19 years and has held several roles, including District Manager of southern California and Arizona, Region Vice President for C&I West, and his most recent role as Region President for California.
In his role, Packer will lead Rexel Energy Solutions and Rexel USA National Accounts, while also driving the continued expansion and growth of its national Solar (PV), Electric Vehicle (EV) charging, and Datacom programs. He has held numerous roles while at Rexel, including Mountain Plains Region President, VP International Projects Group, National Accounts, Branch Manager, and individual sales roles in commercial and industrial automation, the company said.
