Houston Wire & Cable Co. (NASDAQ: HWCC), Houston, reported second-quarter sales of $85.3 million, down 9.1% compared with the same period in 2018. Net income for the quarter was $1.6 million, down 37% from the same period last year.
Sales for the first six months of the year were $170.6 million, down 4.6% from the same period in 2018. Profit fell 13.8% to $3.9 million.
