Boise Cascade Co. (NYSE: BCC), Boise, ID, reported second-quarter sales of $1.1 billion, up 9.1 percent from the same period a year ago. Profit grew 15.2 percent to $22.2 million.
Building materials distribution segment sales were $980.7 million, up 15.4 percent year-over-year. Wood products segment sales were $350.3 million, up 1.1 percent.
For the first six months, sales were $2.1 billion, up 9.8 percent over the prior-year period. Profit grew 15.2 percent to $33.1 million.
