Sterling Heights, Michigan-based PVF distributor Macomb Group has opened a new location in Columbus, Ohio, the company announced May 30.
Macomb already has Ohio locations in Akron, Cincinnati, Lima and Toledo, and Columbus extends the company’s reach to central Ohio. The 132,000-square-foot Columbus facility is strategically located inside the Interstate 270 outer belt near the John Glenn International Airport, according to a news release, allowing quick access to all major freeways.
The expansion will bolster the company’s business in central Ohio and West Virginia, the release said.
“We’ve had our eye on Central Ohio for quite a while and took our time to get everything right,” Macomb Group Chief Operating Officer Scott Henegar said in the release. “We’ve cultivated a great team and are confident in their ability to grow the business.”
“This is a very exciting time to put together a premier supply house from the ground up,” Matt Minton, General Manager of Macomb’s Columbus location, said in the release. “The Columbus Metropolitan Area is rich with top line growth opportunity for many years to come. While The Macomb Group is generally new to the Central Ohio market, our core team is not. We have the experience, relationships and technical expertise to make The Macomb Group a household name in Central Ohio and West Virginia.”
Last month, Macomb completed a merger with Harleysville, Pennsylvania-based Deacon Industrial Supply, a fellow distributor of pipes, valves, fittings and other related products and services.
