Enodis had reported revenues of $1.6 billion for fiscal year ended Sept. 30, 2007. The company’s product line includes food equipment mainly for fast food restaurants, institutions and supermarket/grocery stores. Major products include cooking equipment, ice and beverage dispensing equipment, and stand-alone refrigeration as well as refrigerated display cases. Enodis’ brand names include Frymaster, Garland, Lincoln, Scotsman, Convotherm and Kysor Warren.

VS Acquisition Holding Inc. will be a wholly owned business unit of ITW and part of the company’s existing power systems and electronics businesses. ITW will continue to operate VS Acquisition Holding Inc. as a separate business under the Vitronics Soltec brand name.

The Peerless Group will be a wholly owned unit of ITW and part of the company’s existing food equipment group. ITW will continue to operate Peerless as a separate business under the Peerless brand name.

FLSmidth of Denmark has agreed to sell Densit A/S to Illinois Tool Works Inc.

FLSmidth wants to refocus its operations on Cement and Minerals. Densit was one of the Group’s final remaining non-core units.

Densit employs 68 people, and its turnover in 2006 amounted to DKK 144m (EUR 19m/US$27 million). Densit produces cement-based special-purpose materials used in the security industry, for wear protection, for industrial flooring and for reinforcement of offshore drilling rigs and offshore wind turbine foundations. The company also produces wear-resistant components for the cement and power-generating industries.
