Profit for the second quarter increased 31% to $64.6 million. Organic growth for the second quarter was 17%.

Eurofast is an aerospace fastener distributor in the aerospace and defense industries. For 2007, Eurofast is expected to generate sales of $22 million.

Commenting on the acquisition, Bob Grubbs, President and CEO of Anixter, said, This acquisition is another step in the geographic expansion of our OEM Supply business through the addition of important customers primarily within France in an end market where we have little penetration today within Europe.”

Sales in 2006 were boosted by the acquisition of Infast in July 2005, IMS in May 2006 and MFU in October 2006.


Sales in the fourth quarter were $1.3 billion, including $23.5 million from acquisitions. Sales were up 27% from the same period a year ago. Profit increased 160% to $52.4 million. Organic growth was 22% in the fourth quarter.
