Mount Sterling, IL-based food industry redistributor Dot Foods opened its 13th U.S. distribution center in Manchester, TN.

The $62 million, 177,0000-square-foot facility includes dry, refrigerated and froze warehouse space, offices and an on-site garage. The center is expected to create over 300 jobs in warehousing and truck driving over the next three years.

The new DC will serve distributor customers across Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, Virginia and North Carolina.

“We are thrilled to be celebrating the grand opening of our distribution center in Manchester. Our new facility will generate job opportunities in the region, streamline our operational efficiency and help ensure prompt and reliable delivery of our products to our valued customers,” Dot Foods President George Eversman said in an Aug. 2 news release. “We see a really bright future for this team. In fact, the design of our building is created to allow us to easily expand all warehouse temperatures and the office space to accommodate future growth and growing customer demand in the southeastern U.S.”

The Manchester facility is the first Dot location to open with a Family Heath Center, providing low-cost healthcare to employees and their families. According to the company, the initiative reflects Dot’s commitment to employee well-being and community support.

“There’s a lot of talent in this region,” Dot’s Manchester Facility General Manager Anthony Soto said. “We know that having the right people on our team is the key to our success at any of our facilities, and I’m so proud of how this group has come together to get our distribution center up and running. I look forward to seeing what we’ll accomplish moving forward as we continue to grow.”
