Charlotte, NC-based Aerospace and defense distribution group Aeromed has added a pair of companies to its portfolio.
On June 25, Aeromed announced the addition of Aerospace Products International (API) — a Memphis, TN-based distributor of aviation products that include chemicals and MRO consumables. In conjunction with that move, Aeromed appointed Chris Boyer as President of API.
Aeromed acquired API from Resilience Capital Partners.
Established in 1996, API distributes aircraft parts and accessories to manufacturers, maintenance providers and operators of military, commercial, corporate and general aviation aircraft.
“Diversifying our portfolio with the addition of Aerospace Products International is a significant milestone for Aeromed Group,” Aeromed CEO Bob Spence said in a news release. “API’s reputation for excellence and their comprehensive range of offerings perfectly aligns with our mission to provide innovative solutions and unparalleled service to our clients.”
Boyer brings 30 years of experience in distribution, manufacturing and aerospace to Aeromed. Prior to joining the company, he co-founded and served as Managing Partner of HB Aerospace. He previously held leadership positions at Honeywell Aerospace and Rogers Corporation.
On June 11, Aeromed announced the acquisition of Phoenix, NC-based HB Aerospace, which primarily distributes fasteners and other hardware to Tier 1 and Tier 2 OEMs, supporting build-to-print requirements in commercial aerospace production.
In operation since 2009, HB Aerospace is located at the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport and next to air cargo hub SkyBridge Arizona.
“The management at HB Aerospace has demonstrated unwavering dedication to outstanding customer service and boasts a rich track record of supporting leading firms within the industry,” Spence added. “We are enthusiastic about contributing to the advancement and reinforcement of the company’s organic growth strategy.”
