MDM Special Report: The State of eCommerce and Catalogs in Distribution

Is print dead? Are distributors fully utilizing e-commerce as a new sales and marketing channel? What are the opportunities and challenges that go with these platforms, and can they be used together for even greater benefit to the bottom line?

This MDM Special Report, with articles that appeared in recent issues of MDM Premium, answers those questions. This report is based on a survey of and in-depth interviews with wholesale distributors across sectors. The research was conducted by MDM and Real Results Marketing of Boulder, CO.

The three articles in this report provide an inside look at how distributors view e-commerce and print catalogs when developing their sales and marketing strategies:

  • The State of Catalog Marketing in Distribution: Despite growth of e-commerce, print remains a key channel
  • The State of E-Commerce in Distribution: Survey shows opportunities exist to grow revenue online for distributors.
  • E-Commerce & Catalogs: Fast Friends: The two channels used together can benefit distributors' bottom lines.
