VWR International Acquires OMNILAB AG

VWR International, LLC, West Chester, PA, global laboratory supply distributor, has acquired OMNILAB AG, a Swiss scientific laboratory supply distributor in Mettmenstetten near Zurich.

OMNILAB is one of Switzerland’s largest independent suppliers of laboratory equipment and consumables. It serves the biotechnology, pharmaceutical and industrial scientific market segments. OMNILAB’s core business of supplying instrumentation, consumables and services complements VWR’s local expertise in chemicals, consumables and life science products.

The acquisition supports VWR’s growth in Western Europe.

VWR has annual sales of $3.5 billion in more than 20 countries. …

United Rentals, Inc., Greenwich, CT, has acquired Portland U-Rent-It, Inc., a privately held industrial-oriented rental company, with sales of $11 million, Corpus Christi, TX.

We are actively pursuing growth in industrial rentals, where our depth of resources and branch footprint can give us a competitive advantage. Eaton Acquires Integrated Hydraulics

Danfoss to Combine North America Heating Divisions

Activant Taps New Distrbution Group Leader
